Fiona Tan is a multi-cultural, cross-disciplinary and visionary woman. Her interests are as wide as her background: spirituality, fine art, healing, well-being, psychology, technology, science, design. After graduating from Parsons the New School for Design in 2006, she focused her attention in broadening her knowledge in the fields of energy, healing and well-being. She is a Fine Art artist, bestselling author, transformational and health coach, ordained Minister and Hado instructor. To crystallize her vision she infuses the work with energy healing.
Fiona’s creations are called Artceuticals: a transformational Art that offers a healing state by going beyond the visual; a representation of the harmonic capabilities of Light. Her creative process can be resumed in being guided by the divine. Fiona creates paintings that are channeled by God/ The Source/ The Light. Her art start as an experience which describes a transformation and state of growth. As it gets revealed to her, the same experience happens in her real life. It is as though when the physical, emotional, mental and energetic expansion is achieved that the art too is formed. It’s a physical and visual materialisation of a metamorphosis.
“Energy cannot be created or destroyed, it can only be changed from one form to another” Albert Einstein. Fiona uses light and energy as a medium to reflect experiences which help induce shifts in the viewer and space. Her art is a tool to inspire Transformation through Light therapy. She creates mixed media artwork using traditional techniques in conjunction with new technology. Her visualization helps bring different elements together to create a new reality. She mixes photography, digital art, drawing and painting linking the physical world and the virtual world with the human hand. Fiona's methodology depicts an Impressionism 5.0. In every project, she brings to light the cycle of life, often represented by a process of decomposition and reconstruction. Utilising her acquired knowledge, divine inspiration, unique diversified talents coupled with extraordinary vision she exposes the process of transformation and inner healing.
By creating a new experience, Fiona helps people elevate themselves, giving them tools to transcend limitations and blockages. She also offers them another reality and way. Expanding their consciousness and awareness let people be more in touch with the divine, abundance and true beauty. The state of harmony and happiness truly happens once fears, pains and past have been processed and dealt with. Everyone can achieve the states and experiences Fiona portrays. They just need to be open to surrender and let go of what no longer serves them.
Fiona’s artworks have been added to the Coral Spring Museum. The artist, who in 2011 won the Merck Finck & co Private bank Prize, the Futurum Award for her use of digital technology in 2013, became well known through numerous solo & group shows in the United States, Canada, Germany and South Africa. She was also present at the Venice Biennial in 2015 with a project in the Palazzo Ca Zanardi.
